Pic of the Week 2-11-08
Here is a picture of a 1954 148W that I bought a few years ago as a parts truck. I found this truck behind a transmission shop off of Providence Avenue in Scranton, PA, only a few blocks away from the original Scranton Branch. The box was loaded with transmissions and various tranny parts. Someone had removed the head and only 2 of the pistons, #5 and #6 were left in the block (rusted solid). The head and the oil pan were missing....This truck was ordered by Primo Marianelli and was used to haul produce and groceries.
I originally bought the truck as a parts truck for my 155W and so far it has donated its crankshaft, fuel tanks, high beam dash light, turn signal level (Signal Stat 500), windshield gasket, tranny ID tag, trans shift pattern tag, and it's wiper arms, just to name a few
