Pic of the Week

Here is a picture that was forwarded to me by Steve S. It was part of the New Chapter ATCA's newsletter. It's of a 258 with the integral sleeper in front of the dealer. What a great pic! I'm guessing it was actually a factory pic at one time. I believe the door reads 'Liberty, Mass'...

A friend of my Dad's, Don Beamer, gave his this newspaper clipping from the local papers. It is of Palmer Transfer which was located only a mile or so from my house. I believe these are 154WHS's? One things for sure, the long hood and the forward front axle makes for some sharp looking Brockways!

Here is another great picture I found on flickr. This was taken by Jason Miller and is of Topel's Garage 361 which is located in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. The driver of the 361 told Jason he believed it was the only Brockway registered in Wisconsin. Picture used with permission.

Yesterday Russ Bachman and Sam Dailey stopped by the garage to visit and catch up on the progress with the 361. Russ mentioned that the local newspaper in Stroudsburg, the Pocono Record, had a picture of a Brockway a while back. So I did a little research and found out that they have a weekly feature called "Pocono Memories, Yesterday's Photo", where they print a picture and ask if anyone knows any info about the picture. So here is one from last March...

Anyone want to take a guess on the model of the truck? Notice the location of the headlights...

On Saturday one of the guys I work with was out picking and came upon this Brockway way in the back of a guys house... It looks to be in pretty decent shape! It's a 1950 152W-114-43880.
