Pic of the Week

Here's an interesting pic I found over on the Big Mack Trucks website... It's of a Brockway that was a aviation fuel truck at the abandoned Flushing Airport in Queens NY. From what I understand, the airport was opened in 1927. With the construction of Laguardia Airport, business began to thin out and eventually it was shut down in 1984. With development occurring around airport over the past few years, the property is starting to take on additional water, especially at high tide... I 'believe' it's a 257???

There were numerous nice trucks at the show, but for me this one really stood out... The attention to detail is amazing. The picture speaks for itself...

Here is another pic I found I flickr... It was posted by PACarhauler. In the post he mentions that the trucks were sitting alongside route 272S in Lancaster but are now long gone.

Here is something a little different for picture of the week...

I was heading to Maryland last week for a meeting in Easton. As I was traveling south on the turnpike (476) and was approaching the Lansdale exit, I spotted this truck ahead of me pulling a lowboy. As I started to pass it I quickly realized it was Jeff Erb with his V12 361! So I jumped off the exit and took a few pics as he went by... Really cool to see a Brockway on the road!!!
