Here is a 257 that was once owned by Art Toy of Daleville, PA (my hometown). The truck was formerly owned by the International Salt Company. Art converted the truck to a dump, and it was believed that at one time a heavy duty scissor lift was mounted on it. This truck was extremely heavy duty and even had a TRIPLE frame. It may be hard to tell from this pic, but the original double frame was gusseted with angle iron over the outside of it. From what I understand, the truck met it's untimely demise when someone borrowed it, left the dump partially up and hit a bridge.

At Cortland this past Summer, the Covington Fire Company donated their 527 to the museum. The fire company is only a few miles from my house and if you remember they also have a 361 that's still in service. I was talking to Brian Toy, one of the members of the fire company, and he mentioned he had several Brockway pictures, mostly from the fire department. Brian's Dad, Art, was a long time supporter of the fire company and he also worked at International Salt.

I found a new search engine for Craigslist (searchtempest.com) and stumbled on this Brockway. It is located in Saylorsburg PA in a barn/antique shop. It is advertised as a 1935 but based on the serial number it may be a 1937. Here is the info they forwarded me: "Model # looks like 1060 X12 and the Serial # is 10692" So it looks like something is messed up with the model #.
