Pic of the Week
Pic of the Week 4-27-09
I took a ride at lunch today to look for some Brockway's that I remember seeing years ago. Fortunately they were still there and I was able to get a few pics. So for this weeks Pic of the Week, we have a 1962 257T that was once owned by Bloomsburg Metal. Looks like it was parked there just yesterday

I hope everyone had a nice holiday!
Emery shared this picture with me recently and I though it would make a great pic of the week. This came from a friend of Emery's, Oscar Covas... The truck was lettered up as the "Brockway Bandit" Here is the info Oscar included with the pic: "I don't know much of this truck but the photo was taken by my Dad I believe in the '80's. The truck was located at Dom's Truck sales of Brooklyn, NY. Would love to find out what happened to it."

Our local fire company not only has one Brockway in service, but two!!! The first one is a 361 that is used as a tanker truck, and the second one is this 1972 N527-L Huskiteer. They had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids yesterday and we took my son over. I took a quick detour in the garage and snapped a few pics of this truck.

Here is a great pic of a fleet of Brockway's that was owned by Beverage Transport out of East Bloomfield, NY. Dane Baldwin's Dad and Uncle both drove for this company in the early 70's. If you look hard enough you can spot a few differences in these trucks, including different models, etc. I have also included a photocopy of an article titled 'Business Man of the Month" which shows an overhead view of the truck.
