Pic of the Week
Pic of the Week 3-16-09
Last week at our local truck club meeting, one of the guys brought some truck pictures he had taken recently. A few of them were Brockways, including this truck. My Father and I took a trip to Leesport, PA this past Saturday to pick up a trailer, and we stopped at the Syndersville Diner for breakfast. My Dad mentioned that we weren't far from this truck, so we took a brief detour to take some pics.
This truck is located right along side of Route 115, about 4' off the road if that... It's a 1966 257T that was formerly owned by Continental Stone from Saylorsburg, PA.

Here is a pic of a Brockway that was used in the 1968 movie "The Boston Strangler". It is now owned by our very own Glen Tolbert. The first two pics are of the truck as it is today and the last pic is an actual screen clip from the movie. So this truck ranks right up there with the 361 in Convoy!! It's Hollywood famous!!
The truck was manufactured on 4-28-67 and is a B358 with only 58,131 miles. Pics courtesy of the G. Tolbert collection.

Sorry for the long delay in posting the pic of the week, but I just got back from a sled trip with no internet service...
So here it is!!! Both Joe D. and Steve S. emailed me about this truck. They found it on the bigmacktrucks.com website by accident (listed under a low mileage F model Mack post...). Its a 776 (?) with only 900 miles on it... WOW!!!
