Pic of the Week
Pic of the Week 9-29-08
I believe this picture was on Ebay a while back and it was labeled as one of Ithaca Cement's trucks. I can't make out the lettering on the door that well, but it may read Romsey - Ithaca. I'm not sure where it was taken, maybe someone here will know?
I'm guessing the truck is a '68-69 360 based on the double headlights...

On the way home from Cortland we decided to take Route 11 into PA instead of 81. On the way back, I spotted a bunch of Suit-Kote trucks in a parking lot off to the right and could see a Brockway among the them. Last week I caught up with Joe D. (quadbox) and sure enough he had also seen the truck and took some pictures. So here is a pic of the 361. Joe said the truck appears to be in very good condition with no rust to speak.

We had our local truck club meeting last night and Joe D. (quadbox) brought some pictures along. Joe's friend, Eric Brown, gave him some copies of pictures that were of his Dad's Brockway. His Dad's name was Charlie and he had a number of different trucks throughout the years and they primarily hauled coal. They were based in Moosic PA and the trucks were usually lettered up as "Chas. F. Brown". Pics courtesy of E. Brown Collection.
I'm guessing this is a late 20's early 30's Brockway...

For pic of the week I am using another picture I took at Cortland this year. It is a pic of a super clean 760 that is lettered up as "Manchester Brothers." ( I have a thing for the set forward front axle... )
I really like this truck and if I had to start driving tomorrow, I would pic this truck over anything new you can buy today!!!
