Pic of the Week

Sorry for the late posting but I finally had a few minutes this evening to do some air plumbing on the 155W :)

Here is a picture of a Brockway school bus that I took at the '03 Cortland Show. I believe it is a very late 50's or very early 60's, due to the small grill with the old school emblem and the hood with the chrome strips, half dogs and small script emblems. I'm sure Brockway made a number of buses, but they are few and far between these days. Peter Grim has a great restored model and Bill Fletcher had one that he recently sold.

Here is a pic of Dane Baldwin's 361 that I took at Cortland last August (2007). From what I understand, Dane still works this truck and you can often find it at northeastern truck shows. Dane visits this board regulary so I'm hoping he will add to this post with the specifics...

Here is another picture from the Marushock Brother's collection. I believe it is an early 60's (possibly 62) 258 that was originally owned by John Scarantino. It has the integral sleeper with a 250 Cummins and a tag axle. Check out the cool bug deflector :)

Here are two pictures of a truck that is located only a few miles from my house. It is a 1959 147W that is lettered up as "Boro of Metuchen DPW No. 1" which is located in Middlesex County, NJ. I looked the truck over when the owner originally brought it home a number of years ago. It was just recently advertised in the local "Paper Shop". When I finally called about it, I found out it was not sold and on it's way to the scrap yard. I went to take a look at it and was able to buy the front sheet metal, including the fenders, grill and hood.

I took this picture at the Macungie show back in '98 (only 10 years ago)... I believe it is a 255W or a 256W based on the long hood, headlights mounted on the frame and non-260 fenders.
