Pic of the Week

Here is a pic I found over on the HAMB under a 'Vintage Tow Truck' thread. I would guess is a late 30's or so and more than likely the headlights were changed...

Here is another interesting picture from Andy Hill's collection. This is a 1967 359LL that is located near Schaghticoke, NY. Notice how the fiberglass grill insert stick out a few inches. They installed an automatic trans is this truck and located the trans cooler in front of the radiator.

For this week we have another two for one special. These are some very interesting pictures that Glen Tolbert sent me last week. He discovered these pics while thumbing through the albums the Cortland Historical Society has on display during the annual show.

It's obviously based on a 359 with the short hood and high cab, but it has a set back axle similar to a 361. So what model do you think it is? A 362? A 351?

Andy Hill recently sent me some interesting pics including this one. It's an E359LL that's getting loaded up in Warren Fanes gravel pit on route 40 in Speigletown, NY. Last Andy heard it was being used in the Port of Albany to haul salt (of all things!!!)

For pic of the week, we have a clip from the 1992 movie 'Hoffa' staring Jack Nicholson and Danny DeVito. In this particular scene Hoffa is driving through a number of trucks whose drivers are cheering him on, including this 761...
