Pic of the Week

Here is a pic of a Brockway I found during a Google search last month. The title of the pic was 762 Brockway w/Detroit... Anyway it's cool picture with only a few axles on the ground...

Here is a pic I received from the contact form on the main web site... This is really a great looking truck. Here is the info I have on it...

"This is a picture of my Dads 1972 361 Brockway,318 Detroit, RTOO9513 Trans, 55,000 SUDD Rockwell Rears, this Truck made Dump Truck of the month in Overdrive Magazine, it was puchased new from Jerkins Truck & Euipment, Elwood, New York, Long Island."

For this week I have another two for one special... I knew about this truck for a while but never had an opportunity to look at it. So last Monday I decided to take a ride at lunch and was able to get a good look at it! It's a 1970 N361TLY that is owned by Johnson's Towing in Scranton, PA. The owner built the truck when he was 18 or 19 and it has been garage kept ever since.

We spent this past weekend at Macungie for the ATCA Annual Truck Show and both Friday and Saturday were great days... There weren't as many Brockway's there as years past but they did hit a record of over 600 trucks.

Here is a 1970 361 Huskidrive that is owned by Joe Marushin of Sugarloaf, Pa. It is lettered up at Exit 40 Service Center... A very nice truck...

With all this talk of 'working trucks', I figured it would be a good time to post a pic of Chester Express' 359 in action!
